Probably Stolen Eleanor: Package and Story Guide
Full storyline spoilers: This guide explains Eleanor's Care Package trap, food request, investigation funding, and final drive choice.
Eleanor's route can fail permanently if the Care Package is placed on her counter. The safe path is to report the fake uncle while he is still the active customer, help Eleanor with food later, and fund her investigation by buying the scavenged goods she brings to your shop.

Spoiler-free quick answer
- Do not place the Care Package on Eleanor's counter.
- Report the fake uncle while he is still in front of you.
- Later, give Eleanor a food item for free when she specifically asks for help.
- Buy the goods she brings as a scavenger until your actual payments total 800 credits.
- The final drive choice changes her character outcome, not the ending of your whole run.
Eleanor's early visits
In a normal story-mode run, Eleanor commonly appears around Days 23, 25, and 27. These early visits establish her situation. The next major event is the apparent uncle who arrives with a Care Package.
The early dates are relatively predictable, but later visits depend on when you completed the previous stage and on the morning-visitor queue. Do not assume every event will happen on a fixed calendar day.
Endless Mode does not schedule the full fixed storyline in the same way. Use a normal story save if your goal is to complete Eleanor's route.
What to do with the Care Package
The visitor claiming to be Eleanor's uncle is setting her up. Report him while he is still the current customer. Eleanor later confirms that she does not have an uncle.
Do not place the owned Care Package on Eleanor's counter, even if its Heat has disappeared. The story checks the package itself, and delivering it to her leads to her arrest and ends the route.
If you are unsure, leave the package out of Eleanor's transaction and use the reporting option during the fake uncle's visit.
The food donation
Later, Eleanor asks for food without a normal budget. Give her an acceptable food item for free during that event. Food you sold to her during an earlier paid transaction does not count as this act of help.
This is an event condition, not a lifetime inventory check: the correct item must be transferred during the donation scene.
Funding the 800-credit investigation
Eleanor eventually returns as a scavenger and offers goods she found. Progress is based on the money you actually pay for those items. Continue buying her stock until the cumulative paid amount reaches 800 credits.
Simply holding 800 credits is not enough. The game tracks completed purchases from Eleanor. Plan a cash reserve so you can accept her inventory without sacrificing the next rent payment.
Return or leak the drive
The final drive decision closes Eleanor's character arc in different ways:
- Return the drive favors the direct rescue and cash-oriented outcome.
- Leak it releases the research and moves Eleanor toward the Revolution/Lower Levels route.
Neither choice immediately ends the entire game. Select the ending you want for Eleanor rather than treating the choice as the shop buyout ending. Exact item and reputation rewards can change, so make the decision for the story outcome rather than an unverified reward table.
Storyline failure conditions
- Placing the Care Package on Eleanor's counter.
- Failing to provide food during the free-donation event.
- Assuming possession of 800 credits replaces the required purchases.
- Testing the route in Endless Mode.
- Expecting later visits on rigid dates and abandoning the save too early.
Track each story condition separately
Eleanor's route uses different kinds of help at different stages. Reporting the fake uncle prevents the package trap; giving food satisfies a later donation event; buying scavenged goods funds the investigation. Completing one does not replace either of the others.
Keep a simple record of which event you finished and what you actually transferred. This is especially helpful for the investigation, where progress depends on paid purchases rather than your current balance. Waiting for another visit without making those purchases does not meet the funding condition.
Understanding the investigation total
The 800-credit requirement tracks money actually paid to Eleanor for her scavenged goods. As an arithmetic illustration, payments of 300 and 500 would total 800. That example explains addition only; it does not claim those exact offers appear or that the required amount can always be reached in two visits.
Distinguish the goods' estimated value from your payment when tracking progress. The condition concerns the transaction amount paid to her. Preserve enough cash for both the next purchase opportunity and the shop's own obligations rather than assuming unsold stock funds the investigation automatically.
If the next stage does not appear
Review the route in order: story mode, package outcome, donation event, and cumulative purchases. A missed early condition is different from waiting for a later visit. Later stages depend on when earlier conditions were completed, so a rigid calendar copied from another save is a poor diagnosis.
待确认 (Pending confirmation): the complete item and reputation rewards for both drive outcomes, the exact reporting payout across difficulty/perk settings, and the maximum visitor delay. Choose Return or Leak for the documented story direction rather than an invented reward comparison.
FAQ
What should I do with Eleanor's Care Package?
Report the fake uncle while he is still the current customer. Never hand the package to Eleanor.
Does selling Eleanor food earlier count as helping?
No. You must give food for free during her later zero-budget request.
How does the 800-credit requirement work?
Buy Eleanor's scavenged goods until the total amount you have actually paid her reaches 800 credits.
Should I return or leak the drive?
Return favors the direct rescue/cash outcome; Leak favors the research and Revolution route. Neither ends the whole run.
